VIETPRIDE2022: Empowering Vietnamese LGBTQ+ Communities toward Pride & Equality 

VietPride is an annual event for LGBTQ+ people and their allies to celebrate diversity and inclusion. Starting in 2012, VietPride has quickly become the biggest celebration in our community with increased individual and organizational engagement every year. 

After a 2-year hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic, VietPride2022 returned this year to raise awareness of sex/gender, sexual orientation, and gender identity relationships; thereby gradually replacing gender binary with non-binary. Going beyond the annual series of events, VietPride2022 offered a space for the LGBTQ+ community and allies to be visible, to connect and encourage each other on the journey towards diversity, equity, and inclusion community. 

ICS Center is an enthusiastic founding partner at Vietnam Corporate Pride Network (VCPN) that has massive contribution to promote Diversity, Inclusion & Equity both in social community and corporate sector. By the tireless contribution to LGBTQ+ community, ICS Center succeeded to organize VietPride2022 with financial support from KPMG in Vietnam & Cambodia, British Consulate – General in Ho Chi Minh City, and other organizations. 

VietPride2022 was a memorable event which brought different experiences with a creative agenda. It was a combination of both indoor activities and outdoor march. Hilarious speeches and performances, heart-touching stories from LGBTQ+ communities and their parents were delivered during the event at Kim Do Hotel, Ho Chi Minh City. Besides this, the march marked with over 2,000 participants from various backgrounds such as LGBTQ+ communities, international government offices, corporations, NGOs, and LGBTQ+ allies, gathered to celebrate the special event together. 

The success of VietPride2022 was the support of local and international organizations working in Viet Nam.
