A night of Diversity & Inclusion at the workplace

A night of Diversity & Inclusion at the workplace

On November 30th, 2022, KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia, who is an enthusiastic founding partner of the Vietnam Corporate Pride Network (VCPN), successfully organized the event “A Night of Diversity and Inclusion at the Workplace,” a social networking program under the ILGA ASIA Conference 2022, featuring content from IT’s T TIME, iSEE, ICS Center, and the British Consulate-General in Ho Chi Minh City.

ILGA Asia is the Asia region of the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association and has a membership base of about 200 LGBTQ+ organizations across Asia. Once every two years, the ILGA Asia Conference gathers LGBTQ+ activists, including influencers, local and external government representatives, NGOs, and corporates. In November and December of 2022, ICS Center (a member of C4TRANS) worked with ILGA Asia to bring this impactful event to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Taking this opportunity, KPMG in Vietnam and Cambodia, together with C4TRANS, organized a social event dedicated to the transgender movement in Vietnam and Asia.

The event was held at KPMG’s Klubhouse, starting with a warm welcome from KPMG Vietnam and Cambodia Chairman & CEO – Mr. Warrick Cleine, who shared the commitment of KPMG in Vietnam to support and promote the Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) culture at the workplace and in the community.

There were 4 panelists: Mr. Chu Thanh Ha (Executive Director at IT’S T TIME), Mr. Vuong Kha Phong (iSEE), Ms. Tilo Seliah (Transgender activist and freelance makeup artist), and Ms. Mai Thi Nguyet Anh (ESG Manager at KPMG in Vietnam & Cambodia).

The night ended beautifully by creating more empathy and understanding with the transgender community, as well as connection to the bigger community.
